Hello and welcome to the Thrive – Physiotherapy for Women

Thrive Physiotherapy for Women

I am so excited to welcome you to Thrive Physiotherapy for Women. We offer Physiotherapy services to women in Sheffield and surrounding areas.

I created Thrive Physiotherapy for Women to provide specialist women’s health physiotherapy care. We focus on women with pain, leaks, prolapse or those who need help through their menopause journey. Over the years, whilst working in the NHS as a Pelvic Health physiotherapist, I grew disheartened by the amount of women I met who felt their symptoms had been dismissed by medical professionals. Or those who had seen other physios and were told “there is nothing we can do for you for your pain”.

Why Physiotherapy for women?

After hearing so many women talking about awful experiences and a lack of support, it was time for change. I wanted to change the narrative and offer a new service that would empower women and make them feel seen and heard.

It was critical to give women a safe place to be heard, listened to and receive the physiotherapy they need. Women should never feel rushed, dismissed (“it’s all in your head”) or even ridiculed (“You’ve had a baby, what did you expect??”).

So I created Thrive Physiotherapy for Women. This is a physiotherapy clinic exclusively for women. We aim to help you regain your confidence, move fearlessly and enjoy your life, pain and leak free. We’ll also help you understand your symptoms and your changing body throughout all your life stages.

I want to create a community of strong women looking to challenge the stigmas and shame surrounding leaks, prolapse and the menopause!

I want to empower you to move pain free, embolden you to do the things you love again. I want you to Thrive!

If this resonates with you, or if you want to start your journey to fearless movement, please book your appointment here.

Services

We offer a range of services here at Thrive Physiotherapy for Women. You can book a 1:1 session with me where we’ll discuss your symptoms and I’ll create a plan tailored to you. Many women wait a long time before seeking help with symptoms like prolapse and leaks. I always keep this in mind at our first appointment and offer kindness, sympathy and a listening ear. If you need to spend the first session having a good cry, that’s ok too. Pelvic health can affect your mental wellbeing and your physical health. So please don’t feel embarrassed if you’re feeling emotional when we first meet.

Thrive Physiotherapy for Women also offers Pelvic Strength exercise classes in Sheffield. This 8 week programme will empower you to regain your confidence and master pelvic floor exercises. A strong pelvic floor is key to continence and optimum health. So after the 8 weeks, you’ll feel happier, healthier and stronger.

If you’re unsure of what support you need, please do reach out! I’d love to guide you through our services and discuss which option is best for you. There’s no one size fits all approach when it comes to your pelvic health. At Thrive Physiotherapy for Women, we believe every woman is unique. So you’ll receive a personalised plan that will focus on the particular concerns and challenges you have.

I’ve worked as a Physiotherapist in the NHS for many years. Now that I own a Physiotherapy clinic, I can apply all my experience with the empathy and understanding you deserve.

I am so excited about what the future holds for you and Thrive Physiotherapy for Women. To keep up to date with what’s going on at Thrive and receive helpful hints and tips, please subscribe to my newsletter and follow me on Instagram and Facebook.
