Thrive offers exercise classes in Sheffield for women who want to strengthen their pelvic floor.

These exercise classes in Sheffield run continuously so you can start your pelvic strength journey whenever you want. They’re suitable for women of all ages and abilities and take place at various locations across our vibrant city.

The reason the classes are for women only? There are a few;

  • women experience specific issues related to the pelvic floor that men do not
  • often our attendees tell us they feel safer and more relaxed in a women-only environment
  • our course has been tailored to meet the physiological needs of women

What do Thrive’s exercises classes in Sheffield entail?

Tired of boring pelvic floor exercises? Our Pelvic Strength Exercise Classes in Sheffield are designed to be engaging, empowering, and most importantly, effective for strengthening your pelvic floor and conquering leaks, incontinence, and pelvic pain.

In these classes, you’ll start by mastering the basics—Kegels & Breathwork—to activate and relax your pelvic floor, while breathwork helps calm your nervous system and boosts core strength. From there, we move on to Functional Movement, teaching you how to integrate pelvic strength into everyday activities like squatting, lifting, and twisting. You’ll also build Single-Leg Strength, improving balance and stability, while your pelvic floor learns how to work under different conditions.

As you progress, we’ll prepare your body for low-impact activities, gradually introducing gentle movements like stepping or light jogging to build resilience and confidence. Finally, we’ll get you ready for more dynamic exercises with High-Intensity Readiness, so you can return to your favourite workouts without the fear of leaks holding you back!

Our classes are designed with you in mind, so you’ll never feel pressured, just supported. Whether you’re dealing with pelvic floor issues or just looking to strengthen this key area of your body, we’ll be with you every step of the way—helping you move fearlessly, without worrying about leaks!

What to expect at each class?

At Thrive, we know that knowledge is key to stopping leaks. So, at each Pelvic Strength exercise class, we’ll focus on body and mind, with post workout talks about your pelvic floor, to help you understand your body and the changes it goes through. Easy win hints, tips and homework are provided to help you capitalise on the work you do in class and ensure your symptom free journey continues even after the programme has ended.

The Pelvic Strength exercise class is about connecting your pelvic floor to your body. It will help you master pelvic strength exercises and integrate them into your life. So you can live your best life, without the fear of leaks holding you back.

Exercise classes are a safe space for women to exercise, ask questions and feel empowered. The programme is for women only, with a maximum of 12 participants in each cohort and each class lasts 1 hour. Classes are not suitable for new mums less than 6 weeks postnatally.

The Pelvic Strength Class is a great starting point to help you get back to more active exercises, leak-free!
